Thoughts and Such

This week, David got his first traffic ticket. $148 dollars later, we’ll both remember that a rolling stop (even at a three-way stop on quiet neighboorhood streets) isn’t a stop at all. Temptations to anger, rebellion, condemnation, and all that accompanied the fine. But God is stronger than that and the sound of the Gospel being preached to ourselves was louder than the harsh self-whispers about wasted money and wounded pride. And to celebrate, I made an extra-nice dinner (complete with an invitation, fun and flirty dress code, and love notes taped to the door). We were toasting redemption, and justification, and going and sinning no more.
